Greetings from KCSC For past 30 years, KCSC has grown so much with the hard work of our Staff and Board of Directors as well as the support from the community, and it is my honor to serve the community as the Chairman of KCSC. I would like to thank all who have worked hard to make today¡¯s KCSC. I believe that it is our mission to share the blessings we have experienced with the world through our professional knowledge and community spirit. Volunteering is important in order to share our mission and it comes from an important change of heart from egoism to altruism. It is important to recruit volunteers who support staff at the center but also to assist volunteers to find happiness in helping others using their expertise. To make this possible, I am looking for more board members to share this vision. I would like to develop an active Board of Advisor group and supporting organization, and create an Endowment Fund to prolong this wonderful enterprise. Also I would like to continue to work with an association created last year; National Association of Korean Service Agencies, NAKSA The purpose of NAKSA is to better assist social service agencies serving the Korean American community through networking and shared resources and if necessary to advocate for issues and projects that need collaboration from all agencies. For the association to serve its purpose of supporting Korean agencies, we need to broaden our reach and focus on the needs of Korean communities nationwide. Again, thank you for your support and love for KCSC. Chong O. Gill, Chairman KCSC is a 501 (C) (3) non-profit human service organization founded in February 1974. | ¡¡ |
