KCSC’s Senior Academy is a continuing education program for senior citizens. The program offers a variety of subjects to help seniors improve their proficiency in English and learn more about American culture. BLUE BIRD HOME VISITATION SERVICE (VA ONLY)
KCSC’s Blue Bird Service pairs volunteers with seniors, who live alone or in nursing homes. Volunteers visit and socialize with seniors, read to them, or help with light housework or errands. Currently, the program is offered only in Annandale and Arlington. Volunteers come together for monthly meetings to share their experiences and quarterly supervision meetings for seminars and educational opportunities. All volunteers are welcome.
