On the 6th, the Korean Community Service Center of Greater Washington held a meeting between the Korean parent liasons from the Fairfax Education Department and several Korean school-parents to talk about pertinent problems in the community. The purpose of the meeting was to introduce the programs in the Education Department as well as KCSC itself that could possibly present solutions to the multiple issues facing Korean families. These issues included: communication between parents and their children, school-related stress in Korean students, etc.
KCSC Director Elizabeth Sanghee Kim: “The Korean parent liasons play a crucial role in connecting Korean families to the education system and its resources.”
