KCSC promotes the physical and mental wellbeing of Asian immigrants through two community health clinics, one in Fairfax County, VA and the other in Montgomery County, MD. KCSC also provides health education through seminars, lectures and workshops, and advocates to improve the community health care systems.
KCSC, in collaboration with Mobile Medical Care and the Primary Care Coalition of Montgomery County, operates the KAMMSA community clinic for uninsured Montgomery county residents. Specializing in serving Korean Americans and immigrants, the clinic has been in operation since 2003. KAMMSA clinic is open every Friday from 1pm to 4pm at the Shady Grove Adventist Medical Center. Patients receive care from a volunteer medical team (physicians, nurse practitioners, and interpreters), and referrals are made, as needed, to the local medical partners such as Shady Grove Adventist Hospital, Washington Adventist Hospital, and Suburban Hospital (additional fees may apply for referral appointments). By appointment only. The clinic cannot accommodate walk-ins. Copay is $40 per visit.
Eligibility criteria
1. Must be Montgomery County residents
2. Must be 18 and older
3. Must be uninsured. If you have Medicaid, MCO (Managed Care Organization) you must choose an insurance provider such as Amerigroup, Priority Partners, or Riverside.
4. Income level should be at or below 250% of the Federal Poverty Level (in 2015, annual income must be less than $59, 625 for a family of 4).

Through Fairfax County’s Alcohol Safety Action Program, KCSC is a designated alcohol and drug education/counseling program provider. KCSC works with clients who have been referred by their attorneys or the local courts. KCSC provides individual or group substance abuse education and counseling programs (both basic and intensive) either in English or Korean.
