English Classes

In collaboration with the English Empowerment Center, KCSC’s English as a Second Language classes offer students basic study of English grammar, diction, reading, and writing. The focus is on learning practical English language skills to help with day-to-day needs such as going to the post office or making reservations for doctors’ appointments.  Classes are in the Fall, Spring, and Summer. You must register before class. Class enrollment is only confirmed in person. No pre-registrations accepted.

Citizenship Interview

The course focuses on helping students prepare for the naturalization test. Students study U.S. history and government for the civics portion of the test and practice sample verbal and written questions that are needed in the reading and writing portion of the test. Students will have the opportunity to practice their skills in a mock interview. KCSC has also developed a citizenship preparation booklet and audio cassettes for students to practice at home.
